Anonymous Tips

If you wish to remain anonymous, you can submit a tip online or by calling Larimer County Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868. This is a secure and confidential process designed to protect your identity while helping law enforcement solve crimes.

If you choose to call in a tip, your call will be received by the Larimer County Crime Stoppers tips line at 970-221-6868. This phone is a stand-alone instrument that does not have caller ID capabilities, and conversations are not recorded. Once your information is received, the Crime Stoppers Coordinator fills out a tip information form, conducts initial inquiries, and forwards the tip to the appropriate law enforcement agency. At the end of the call, you will be given a reference number - be sure to record and keep this number safe, as it will be needed to follow up on your tip or collect a reward if applicable.

If you prefer to
submit your tip online, Crime Stoppers also offers a completely secure and anonymous Web Tip option. This system includes Two-Way Dialog capabilities, allowing you to return and add more information or respond to questions from the coordinator - all without revealing your identity. This encrypted interface ensures that your tip and communication remain confidential.

For both phone and online tips, if your information leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $500. To claim a reward, you must monitor the status of your tip using the unique code or number you received - keep this information confidential to prevent misuse.
